Nextnova Announces Advanced U.S. Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility

New manufacturer to begin mass production of high-efficiency solar cells in March 2027

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — 27th August 2026 — Nextnova, a new U.S.-based manufacturer of high-efficiency solar cells, today announced the launch of its advanced solar cell manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The facility will have an initial annual production capacity of 2 GW, with expansion potential to 5 GW, and is expected to create approximately 300 skilled jobs. Mass production is scheduled to begin in March 2027.

Nextnova is building its manufacturing platform around three core principles: advanced U.S. manufacturing, complete supply chain transparency and premium quality.

Through a fully integrated Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Nextnova will provide digital traceability across the supply chain, from polysilicon sourcing and wafer production through to finished solar cells. Advanced process control, automated inspection, inline testing and 100% electrical performance testing are integrated throughout the production process to ensure precision, consistency and reliable cell performance.

“Nextnova is being built to deliver more than high-efficiency solar cells,” said Nathan Miller, Chief Strategy Officer. “We are creating a manufacturing platform that gives customers greater confidence through advanced technology, rigorous quality systems and complete transparency across the supply chain.”

Nextnova to Present at Solar Manufacturing USA 2026

Nextnova will be featured at the inaugural Solar Manufacturing USA 2026 conference, where Mr. Miller will present highlights of the company's current activities and plans for further investments in U.S. solar cell manufacturing.

“Nextnova’s inclusion at the inaugural Solar Manufacturing USA 2026 event forms a direct match with one of the major themes underpinning the conference — revealing the companies that are currently investing into new solar cell manufacturing sites in the United States,” said Finlay Colville, Founder of Terawatt PV Research and co-host with pv magazine USA of Solar Manufacturing USA 2026.

“The presentation by the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Nathan Miller, promises to be one of the highlights of the opening sessions. Following the latest Section 232 action, the strategic imperative to invest in and build out the U.S. domestic solar supply chain has never been more critical.” Mr. Coleville adds.

With scalable production, advanced manufacturing technology and end-to-end material traceability, Nextnova aims to become a trusted partner in building a more secure, resilient and competitive U.S. solar supply chain.
